Read your label against the formula

Find the date of manufacture on the seat's label, then add 6 years — the same month. As Chicco applies it:

On an adhesive manufacturer's label on the underside/bottom of the car seat, and on the car seat base. Chicco's manuals direct owners to the manufacturer's label on the underside of the Child Restraint, which carries a printed "Do Not Use After" date; the model and serial number sit on a label on the bottom of the Child Restraint. Chicco's expiration article adds that the date also appears on the product registration card, and its contact page describes the label as a white sticker on the frame of the product. Chicco stamps a date of manufacture and, on these seats, a "Do Not Use After" date — not a bare expiration date alone.
