The date of manufacture on your seat's label plus that figure is the expiration date.
UPPAbaby's stated useful life is generation-dependent, not brand-uniform. The MESA V2 manual states 7 years from the date of manufacture; the Mesa V3 manual states 10. Both manuals are live on UPPAbaby's manuals page, so a MESA V2 does not take the 10-year figure. UPPAbaby's warranty page states "up to 10 years from date of manufacture" under "Applies to: All Car Seats" — that is warranty-lifetime wording covering the current lineup, while the instruction to read against your own seat ("Discontinue use of this child restraint after ... years from the date of manufacture") is printed in that seat's manual and on the seat's labels. Read the manual and the labels for the seat in front of you. UPPAbaby publishes no separate car-seat expiration page that could be retrieved. The MESA MAX and the original MESA manuals were read on 2026-09-03 from the links on UPPAbaby's own manuals page: both print the same "NOTICE OF EXPIRATION" at 7 years, so both now carry that figure. The Alta V2 still carries none — its manual states a warranty lifetime and no expiration figure.

Where the date is on a UPPAbaby seat
On labels on the bottom of both the carrier and the base on the Mesa V2 and Mesa V3; the manuals add that the same information is on the manufacture labels or engraved on the underside of the carrier. On the KNOX it is on the bottom of the restraint; on the Alta V2, on the manufacture labels or engraved on the underside of the booster.
